Associate Professor, Urology | Chief, Division of Urologic Oncology, Urology
Research Area: Dr. Morgan has a translational research laboratory focused on identifying biomarkers associated with treatment response, primarily through molecular profiling of tumor cells circulating in the blood and bone marrow of men with prostate cancer. The goal of this work is to be able to use a “liquid biopsy” to inform decisions in the same way that tissue-based biopsies currently do. These efforts also seek to shed light on how tumors learn to evade certain treatments and how these resistance mechanisms can be targeted. Dr. Morgan also directs a number of clinical trials, primarily focused on understanding how cancer biomarkers can be utilized in order to provide more individualized management approaches. His research has received funding from the National Cancer Institute (NCI), the Department of Defense, the Prostate Cancer Foundation, the Taubman Institute, and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, among others.

Clinical Research Coordinator
Research Area: Linda is the Project Manager for the GMAJOR Study. GMAJOR is the second multi-site trial conducted through the MUSIC Collaborative. It is a randomized, controlled, multi-center study for men with newly diagnosed favorable-risk prostate cancer. She has collaborated with the Urology Department for over 40 years, contributing to numerous studies throughout her career.

Clinical Research Coordinator
Research Area: Derrian works on the Sentinel Trial, a large-scale, non-randomized observational study evaluating the use of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA)-based minimal residual disease (MRD) testing to detect cancer recurrence earlier than standard-of-care methods and assess the clinical benefit of treatment in ctDNA-positive patients across solid tumors.
Derrian plays an active role in multiple prostate cancer research efforts. His work includes the STRATA trial, Gary's Fine Needle Probe Study, and the Artera PCF project, which leverages artificial intelligence to advance diagnostics. He also contributes to the Freenome study, GMAJOR, and MiCoPILOT—projects focused on precision medicine and early detection strategies.

Research Assistant
Research Area: Arysad is involved in the Prostate Active Surveillance Study (PASS), which investigates selective intervention in patients on active surveillance and aims to determine the proportion who develop aggressive disease. The study focuses on identifying and validating biomarkers predictive of disease progression, as defined by established histological, clinical, and outcome-based criteria.
